Public access

Access to documents held by the institution is regulated by the legislation of the domicile (Finland).

Act on the openness of government activities 21.5.1999/621

The general rule is, that documents submitted to Nopef or produced by Nopef, are public and accessible, unless they are secret by virtue of Finnish law.

Section 24 of the abovementioned act: Secret/confidential official documents (esp. sub-sections 17, 20 & 23) list exceptions to the rule of public access.

Where Nopef receives a request to see a document, the fund always consults with/informs the loan recipient in question.
